Courses
Start your journey to becoming a pilot with expert-led, hands-on flight training.
Basic Course
Super Cub is down for rebuilding check back in the fall if your heart is set on flying the cub.
We primarily use a 150 HP Piper Super Cub for our training, but we also have a Cessna PPonk 182 on Aerocet Amphibs for those wanting high-performance and complex flights. Wing extensions and other upgrades have been added to both planes. We like to train with 1 to 2 flights a day, up to 1.5 hours each, with ground instruction before each flight and a debrief afterwards. We find that if the student can allow 3 days for training with a 4th for the check ride, they get the most out of the course, as opposed to cramming it all in 2 days.
You need to be current in land planes when you begin your course or plan on taking longer. The basic seaplane course will take 3 to 4 days to complete.
Advanced Course
This course includes advanced techniques not taught in the basic course
Including up to three hours of flight instruction in high-altitude mountain lakes and rivers. In the ground portion of the course, the focus will be on flight planning, including weather and terrain, density altitude, and aircraft performance. This is a great course even for those who want to feel more confident in land planes.
